NEWS anchor Cathy Mohlahlana has welcomed her first children into the world.
The Newzroom Afrika and SA FM host shared the news on social media on Monday, 24 April. She gave birth to twins, a girl and a boy, in January.
She also announced that she’ll be back on the radio, where she hosts The-Talking-Point from 9am to 12 pm next month.
“I've been MIA... I know. I gave birth to beautiful twins in January, a baby girl and boy. My maternity leave is almost up and I'll be back at @SAfmRadio in May,” she wrote.
“I'm sorry for the blue ticking. The new motherhood streets have been real,” she continued.

Her pregnancy was announced in December by Newzroom Afrika when they shared she was taking maternity leave. Thembekile Mrototo had taken over her show during her leave.
“Newzroom Afrika’s News@Prime anchor Cathy Mohlahlana will be on maternity leave in mid-December, with Thembekile Mrototo standing in as prime anchor for the next few months,” the statement read at the time.
The news anchor got messages of love and congratulations from her fans and industry peers on Twitter.
Radio and TV presenter Pabi Moloi wrote: “That’s such beautiful news Cath. I’m sure they are so adorable. Sending so much love.”
Twitter user Mamago Entle advised her to take care of her babies.
“Congratulations Cathy. I am so happy for you. You are so blessed. Modimo decided to bless you with two of the best ka nako ei one. You are definitely God's favourite. Take care of your bundles,” she wrote.
Another user, Bongeka_ commented: “Oh, Cath! Congratulations. I hope you’re enjoying blessings even though it’s going how it’s going. They’re so lucky to have you as their mummy.”
