MASKANDI singer Vusi Zulu can't keep quiet anymore.
The musician said he has been participating in elections over the past years, but he doesn’t see any difference.
The 46-year-old muso from Port Shepstone, southern KZN, believes that this year's general elections must be time for change.
The artist has released a maskandi single titled Sovotela Abanye which translates to, "We will vote for others".
Vusi said it is time to give other political parties a chance and see what they can do.
Mzansi will be heading to the polls this year and the date is yet to be announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Vusi told Daily Sun his song encourages people who are not satisfied with the current government to vote for other parties.

“These upcoming elections is time to change. People must avoid voting for political parties that don't help them again. It's time to give others a chance," he said.
Vusi said Mzansi musicians lack a significant voice in politics and that it's time to use music as a platform for expression.
Vusi started his music career in 1994 as part of the isicathamiya group Uhlelo Olusha in Port Shepstone, and he later became the group's leader in 1998.
“I decided to study for a diploma in music performance at UKZN for three years and I am still a leader for the isicathamiya group. In 2011 I fell in love with maskandi, and I released my debut album titled Isibani Sami in 2017 and followed with a second one, titled Kusizani in 2021,” he said.
Apart from his vocal talents, Vusi is also a skilled instrumentalist, proficient in playing various instruments such as the Timbila xylophone, guard-bow, African drum percussion, guitar, penny whistle, bamboo flute, and piano.
He said after graduating, he travelled to countries overseas such as Canada, Sweden, Germany, Ghana and Uganda doing cultural exchange and performances.
