Sboniso ‘Msawawa’ Dlamini has made a big contribution in the music industry and is now uplifting up-and-coming artists.

Msawawa wants to help young talent get exposure in the entertainment industry with his latest single.

The kwaito singer and songwriter, whose real name is Sboniso Dlamini, has released a new single under his recording label, talks about his contribution to the art and music industry. The singer shared that he wanted to help young talents with his latest single titled Bayeza. The song was released last month. Msawawa told Daily Sun that he is working with young talents under his record label called Msawawa Music Production.

“My new song is called Bayeza. It’s an uplifting song that features artists under my label, Fundi M, Cedric Makai and Siba,” he said.

Msawawa said they’re now making world music and the song is enjoying a lot of airplay on the radio.

He said they’re also shooting the music video for the song. He said he believes in uplifting young people.

“I believe in seeing young people shine.

“ I released the song on 22 July and on the same day, I had to fly to Joburg for an interview on Tbo Touch’s show on Metro FM. This made the song to go viral. On 23 July, I went to Botswana to push the song at the All Black Affair event,” he said.

Msawawa said when he isn’t busy with his music, he visits schools around the country talking about his journey in the entertainment industry.

He also runs the Msawawa Youth Charity Foundation and Msawawa Artist Development organisation.

He encouraged young people to focus on things that will build them.

“We donate food and clothes to the less fortunate. During the floods in KZN, we provided communities with food and clothes,” he said.

“Young people must stay far away from drugs because they are not good for anyone,” he said.

The singer said he believes in education more than anything. He urged Mzansi youth to focus on their studies and never give up.

“My message is that never be let down by anyone in this world. There are people who will always find something negative to say about you,” he said.

Msawawa said people must use social media platforms for a positive outcome.
