MISS Pru is annoyed by people who keep using her photos and name to scam people on social media.

The DJ from the Vaal, whose real name is Prudence Sebalo, said she wasn’t happy at all as this was getting out of hand.

She told Daily Sun she was scared this could tarnish her image.

On Saturday, 14 January, the Ameni hitmaker took to Instagram to alert her followers about scammers who were using a social media account acting as her to ask people for money.

She wrote: “Please be careful of this account, it’s not me. I have only got one Instagram account. Apparently they are asking for money from you. It’s definitely not me. Be careful. Please kindly report this account. Thank you.”

She said she felt annoyed as this wasn’t the first time this was happening.

“I found out from my friends. They sent me texts in the morning, asking if I’m okay,” she said.

“The fact that they asked for money made me a bit angry. But that’s what scammers always ask for,” Miss Pru said.

She said in most cases they’d never just say “hi”, they’ll always ask for money.

Miss Pru said when she searched the account she couldn’t find it.

“I think they blocked me but my friends helped me report and block the page. I am happy as they were going to ruin my image and am not that kind of person who goes around disturbing other people,” she said.

She said she used her social media platforms mostly for work purposes.

“And them duplicating accounts like this and asking for weird things affects my work relationships. So please kindly stop,” she said.

When asked if she working on any new music, she said: “Yes, definitely. I’m currently working on my very first EP. As soon as we’re done I’ll put out a date.”

Late last year, Miss Pru released her amapiano single titled Husiku, which means At Night in Shona. She worked with Beekay, Nkatha and Ncesh-P.
