HIP-HOP producer and DJ Miss Pru announced on Monday, 14 November, that she has parted ways with Ambitiouz Entertainment.

She told Daily Sun her seven-year journey with the label was wonderful.

“I learnt a lot about Miss Pru and as Prudence under the record label. The great part about it is that we came out with great sound. We made hits left and right, which helped grow my name and it helped me learn more about the music industry,” she said.

Miss Pru, whose real name is Prudence Sebalo, said she now wants to go solo.

“I am a DJ who makes great music. I don’t want to be boxed as a hip-hop DJ. I will be exploring other genres as this will help my brand grow,” said Miss Pru.

She further said she has had her own record label called Miss Pru Productions since 2014.

“I have been doing my own events under it. I didn’t do much under it as I was signed under Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015. Right now what I am doing is purely for me. I am not ready to sign new talent,” she said.

She said she will release her amapiano single, Husiku, soon.

She worked with Beekay, Nkatha, and Ncesh-P.

“Some of the sound engineers I worked with was Teddy and Kitie on this song. I was extremely impressed with their work and they gave me what I wanted,” she said.

The CEO and founder of Ambitiouz Entertainment, Kgosi Mahumapelo said: “We are happy for her and we wish her nothing but the best. We’ve had the best seven years with her.”
