RADIO legends are making way for new blood on Metro FM.
Oskido and Nothemba Madumo have both confirmed to Daily Sun that they are leaving the station after more than 10 years of service.
Oskido said he is making space for young talent.
“I’m leaving and I’m not joining another station. I’ve been doing radio for a long time. I’ve got other business interests that I’m doing. It’s time I open airwaves for young talent and venture into other things. My time schedule doesn’t allow me anymore,” he said.
Oskido hosted I Believe every Saturday between 6pm and 9pm. This time slot will now be filled with a new show hosted by Quinton "Naked DJ" Masina and former Big Brother Mzansi, star Thato Immaculate.
Nothemba said she will leave at the end of March. She hosts the Jazz Urban Experience and joined the station in 2008.
“It’s not easy when you have spent so much time and invested so much in the passion and culture. All the people I’ve engaged with, it’s nothing to celebrate. But I'm really proud of the work that I have contributed to the industry," she said.

She thanked her fans, but couldn't reveal where she was going.
“I’m exploring other avenues. I want to thank my listeners because I am because of them. Without them, I would not have been inspired and worked so hard to make sure I served them with all the music.
“Because of them, I have also learnt a lot. This is a genre that’s so diverse, they’ve also played a big role in opening my mind to the music, some of which I would not be open to and artists I wouldn’t have known. They were a very engaging audience which helped the culture of this artform. It makes people open-minded and free to express themselves,” she said.
Her time slot will be replaced with a new show called Sunday Soul Therapy with Msizi Shembe.
DJ Sphectacula is also leaving the station.
