MBALI Ngidi and DJ Mngadi clear up the rumours about their alleged dispute.

This after it was rumoured that Mbali is allegedly angry and accusing DJ Mngadi of not paying her for the song Thando Lwethu, which was released in 2022.

The 34-year-old from Osindisweni, north of Durban, said the rumours surfaced last week when she released her single song titled Xola Moya Wami.

Mbali told Daily Sun that since Friday, 15 December, her cellphone has been flooded with calls from people asking her if she has bad blood with DJ Mngadi.

"DJ Mngadi is under no obligation to pay me money and I will collect my money from Samro as per our agreement with him.

"I think there might be people fighting him and trying to get me involved in their war. I don’t like that and it's strange that I released my debut single and now there are such rumours. Many are also trying to shift the focus from my single to the non-scandal," Mbali said.

Mbali said DJ Mngadi is like a brother to her and they have a good working relationship with him. "I am grateful that he turned me from a theatre actress to a musician.

"Those who want us to fight need to relax because we will be working and releasing good music for a long time," she said.

Mbali said they will release her debut EP in 2024 under DJ Mngadi's label, Floorspiner Entertainment, but they will decide if they'll release a single song before the EP.

DJ Mngadi, whose real name is Sihle Mngadi (40) from KwaMaphumulo in KZN, told Daily Sun that he heard the rumours but they weren't true.

"There's no bad blood between me and Mbali. We are still working well together as we recently released her debut single song after I featured her. I'm surprised why a lot of people are calling her and asking if we are fighting and not calling me. There's something fishy going on," he said.
