MAPANTSULA is getting ready to drop his EP, titled Bayeke.
Fezile Mbatha, known to his fans as Mapantsula, is a kwaito artist, songwriter and artist developer from Mbombela.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Mapantsula said: “My love for music dates back to the 80s when I was at primary school.
“I started composing my own songs after being inspired by kwaito groups such as Chiskop, Alaska and TKZee.”
He said that he realised that music has the power to heal and comfort people.
“I saw a lot of people being healed, comforted and encouraged through music.

“This is my calling and I felt like it was going to be a huge sin for me not to make music and heal people’s souls,” he said.
Mapantsula said although music evolves, kwaito will always be alive as it is an authentic Mzansi genre.
“Look, we all know that music revolves or I can say it fades, I can not find myself busy with other genres because I’m doing what I love and kwaito will never die.
“It’s our own South African sound like isicathamiya and maskandi.
“So, I will continue making kwaito music wholeheartedly and am sure the next generation will do the same.
“Bayeke is my EP that will be released on 1 October.
“It’s going to be strictly kwaito, featuring the likes of my partner KB The Suspect, Kwakwavilla, Mrijo The Havok and many more,” said Mapantsula.
He said that he’ll be working on a lot of things in the next few months and will be revealed in the beginning of next year.
Mapantsula is looking forward to collaborating with big and talented Mzansi producers, the likes of Tronix Madibe.
