Singer Makhadzi finally revealed herself on stage.

MULTI award-winning singer Makhadzi was the latest celebrity to be unmasked on The Masked Singer South Africa

The Limpopo-born Ghanama hitmaker was unmasked as Sunflower on Saturday, 29 July.

The Masked Singer’s number one detective, Sithelo Shozi, was the only appointed investigator who could tell who set the stage alight disguised as a sassy Sunflower.

Sithelo’s fellow squad member, Somizi Mhlongo, almost hit the nail on the head, but changed his mind to Zahara just before the big reveal.

Media personality Moshe Ndidi, who stood in for J’Something, also assumed that Sunflower was Zahara. However, “sergeant” Skumba Mhlope stuck to his guns with Mercy Pakela, the name he had provided since the feisty Sunflower’s first performance on the show.

About her time on the show, Makhadzi said: "I challenged myself as an artist to see how far I could go."

Makhadzi covered Malaika's Destiny during her final performance.

The unmasked Makhadzi said that she loved how she fooled Somizi.

Social media users said it was clear that Sunflower was Makhadzi.

“Jackie Mantosi wrote: “It’s been clear from the beginning.”

Nandi Posh wrote: “Clues were so obvious. How could judges miss this.”

Phozisa Rose Beja wrote: “I was right all along. Now where is the R5 000.”
