KASI artists produced a five-star performance at the homecoming event last Sunday, 18 February.

The event was held at RoofTop Bar in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni.

The artists included Banzo and Friends, Neo, TK, Tladi, Mbalizethu Takamia Music, Sabelo, and many more.

Pat Magodzo, one of the organisers, said the event was a success.

He said it was themed homecoming because of a friend, Prince Tino, who used to host live events in Vosloorus and left to work overseas.

"He returned home to visit his family and we, as local artists, decided to host a gig for him to welcome him back.

"The event showcased a diverse range of talented artists from the local hood. The event provided a platform for these artists to showcase their skills and creativity to a wider audience, offering them valuable exposure and recognition.

"Such events allow artists to network with industry professionals, gain new fans, and establish their presence in the music scene," said Pat.

Sizwe, aka Takamia Mdluli of Ugqozi Entertainment, said such exposure is crucial for the growth and success of the artists.

"This opens doors to future opportunities and collaborations among the artists.

"The event was a huge success, and everyone there had a great time. This shows music fans need live shows in our area," said Sizwe.

"It's such a good platform for musicians to grow and explore their music journey."

Prince said: "It was great to be welcomed back home with such a gesture.

"I've been hosting events for years in Ekurhuleni to give local artists platforms to show their creativities and talents."
