THE township of KwaMashu in KZN has a bad reputation.
This is due to crime, drug use and many other bad things but the organisers of Inkasi Xperience want to change that.
They said they want to change the notorious township through the music festival.
Inkasi Xperience will take place on Saturday, 16 December at the Princess Magogo Stadium with a large line-up of famous artists.
Organiser Philani "Splash" Ngwenya told Daily Sun that the main aim is to change the bad reputation of KwaMashu township.
"We also want to ensure that people outside KwaMashu are not afraid of our township because it has a bad reputation.
"People love music and we are using music as a tool to get people from all over to visit KwaMashu and see that the area is not as bad as it used to be," Philani said.

He said they have ensured that they not only have KwaMashu-born musicians such as Dladla Mshunqisi and Zakwe performing at the event, but other artists will also perform at the event.
"Yes, KwaMashu township used to be too bad, but now it has become a good township, and everyone will be able to attend the festival for sure," he said.
