Gospel musician Mam Dudu wants people to always have faith in the Lord.

GOSPEL musician Duduzile "Mam Dudu" Ngcece is using her music as a tool to bring people closer to Jesus Christ.

Mam Dudu from Mthwalume, KZN released her debut album titled Bhekani KuJesu, to encourage people to turn to Christ for solutions.

She told Daily Sun that she wants to have an impact on Mzansi through her music as she preaches the gospel through her music.

“Praying renews my strength and gives me concentration for my journey through my music. I’m teaching people to do the same in these difficult times.

She said her album is also looking at God's amazing creation of heaven and earth and thanking His mercy and grace.

“I’m not new in the gospel industry. I have always been a talented woman, as I used to sing with different groups,” she said.

Mam Dudu said she decided to go solo because she strongly believes that singing is a communication with God through prayer, worship, and praise.

“I needed to do this on my own to fulfil God's promise about my life. I come from a family that worships the Lord, and my journey seeks God in all."

“I was inspired by Dumi Mkokstad and Ncandweni Christ Ambassador, a gospel group I regard as an intellectually nurtured group with individuals who fear the Lord more than all,” she said.

Mam Dudu said that her vision is to see unity in all genres of music.

"For instance, when a maskandi artist releases an album they would feature a gospel artist, or when they have events, they invite each other. That's the unity I would like to see across all genres," she said.
