INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed DJ Nkosinathi "Black Coffee" Maphumulo has been discharged from hospital.

This comes after the 47-year-old Grammy-award winner from Umlazi, south of Durban, in KZN, was involved in a serious flight accident on Wednesday, 10 January on his way to a gig in Mar Del Plata, Argentina.

The accident was said to have led to unforeseen complications and left him with injuries.

Although it's not clear where he is recovering after his release and what his condition is, his manager and publicist Samantha Emmenes confirmed to Daily Sun that Black Coffee has left hospital.

"Yes, I confirm that he has been discharged from hospital. But I don’t have any further details at the moment as I have not spoken to him for a few days," she said.

Black Coffee also posted the signs for house, love and hands on his Twitter account on Sunday, January 14, which was also interpreted to mean that he was out of the hospital.

Mzansi was shocked when they heard the news that Black Coffee had been involved in a flying accident on Wednesday, 10 January.

It was said that his air accident had led to unforeseen complications and left him with injuries.

Mzansi, including DJs and the Minister of Sports and Arts and Culture, Zizi Kodwa, have kept him in their prayers, saying they can't afford to lose him as he represents Mzansi internationally.

What worried Mzansi even more was the fact that Black Coffee lives overseas and performed in different countries. His travelling depends on flights and if he has an air accident, it could be a problem in terms of trauma.
