ANC members and supporters were in a jovial mood over the weekend as they celebrated the ANC’s 112th anniversary in Mbombela Stadium, Mpumalanga on Saturday, 13 January.
Speaking to thousands of people at the stadium, President Cyril Ramaphosa said those who kept claiming the ANC wouldn't be able to achieve 50% of the vote in the elections, didn't know the party very well.
“They don’t know the ANC of Luthuli, the ANC of Mandela," he said.
ANC supporters were also seen parading a coffin written RIP Zuma at the stadium.
In more tragic news, businessman Harry Makamu (53) from New Forest Village in Mpumalanga, was killed in a hail of bullets while sitting inside a car with a woman. The two were inside his blue VW Jetta behind the Thulamahashe Plaza near Bushbuckridge on Saturday, 13 January.

The residents of Atlantis in Cape Town demand justice. This follows the alleged rape of a two-year-old toddler at Wesfleur Hospital on Wednesday, 10 January. According to a source who visited the hospital, there was chaos at the hospital after the incident.

The heavy rains which poured around Durban on Saturday, 13 January, left a trail of destruction.
