Mzansi, are you READY for Idols iLast Number?

THE last episode Idols SA season 19 will air on Saturday, 8 July.


Mzansi Idols, titled iLast Number, is ready to give Mzansi viewers a sensational season.

The show will air at 6pm on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161.

"We are very pleased to announce that for the first time in the history of Idols SA, the farewell season will also be aired on Mzansi Wethu, DStv channel 163 at 7.30pm.

"Yes, you read that right - now Idols SA fans will be able to watch the magic of the show right after the news, exclusively on Mzansi Wethu," the statement read.

The show will feature judges Somizi Mhlongo, Thembi Seete and JR Bogopa. 

"Their knowledge, passion and vibrant personalities will once again light up the screens and set the stage on fire,"  the statement reads. 

Idols SA first aired on M-Net in 2002 and launched countless careers, transforming aspiring singers into household names, including Heinz Winkler in the first season and reigning season 18 champion, Thapelo Molomo.

"Now, after 21 glorious years, we invite you to join us in celebrating this groundbreaking season and the incredible talent that has graced the stage over the years - not to mention those who are part of our final curtain call," the statement reads.

The iLast Number will be hosted by co-producer ProVerb.

"There is much to look forward to as Idols SA moves from its traditional Sunday broadcast slot to a compelling Saturday night slot. This change promises to fill the farewell season with electric energy and ensure you start your weekend with an exhilarating musical extravaganza," it said.
