GRAMMY award winner Zakes Bantwini has pulled a shocker.
The Osama hitmaker announced that he will be stopping music and he is working on his final album, titled Abantu.
The 43-year-old musician made this revelation at an event hosted at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Friday, 14 July.
"The album I'm working on will be my final album and that's what I'm going to be putting out. All my contractual obligations will then be over. I have one last album left with my about-to-be former label, which is Universal Music, which I was distributing to. We are left with one final album and I want to concentrate on this new company we've just launched yesterday, Aline, which is going to bring great talent.
"This is not just another Zakes Bantwini. It's about what I do which is music business. I'm not a musician, I'm in the business of music. That's where my love comes from. I'm still going to be in music, but Abantu album is going to be my last. Just make sure you buy it so you'll tell your kids about me in the future.

He also announced his first-ever concert that will be held in Cape Town on 28 October. The event is hosted by his new company, Aline which is co-owned by his business partners, Sibu Mhlongo, Boity Thulo and Nomcebo Zikode.
"This is such an exciting time for us as Aline. The show will take place on 28 October. We have such a beautiful line-up of artists who are going to be announced next week. We'll announce the last phase of the line-up on the other week.
"The show will be headlined by me and another international act, which we cannot mention now," he said.
Zakes also thanked the City of Cape Town which helped them make the dream come true. Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis was also at the event on Friday.
"I want to thank the stadium, the CEO and the team. They've welcomed us and enabled us to stage an event in Cape Town, at a level where all these other events international musicians usually host.
"We had a dream and we knew the only city that could accommodate how big our dream is was Cape Town. And your warm welcome, Mr Mayor, made it possible for us," he said.
Tickets are available from today at Howler and cost between R450 and R3 500.
