MANY know him as DJ Tira, others Malume or Makoya Bearings.

The DJ, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, is proud to be celebrating more than two decades in the industry.
He spoke to Daily Sun about his journey and helping youngsters become superstars.
“The journey has been amazing. I can’t believe it’s been 23 years. Thank God, I made it here. I’m still producing music and making hits.
“I’ve worked with a lot of talent. I’ve changed people’s lives, and I’m still doing it to this day,” he said.

“Malume Way will be dropping on 24 August. I’ve already dropped the leading single titled Cela Sikhulume, and it’s doing good. Thanks to everyone for the support. I’m looking forward to people enjoying my album. It’s going to be another summer, another killer,” DJ Tira said.
He’s also just been announced as one of the musicians to perform at the FNB Pop Opera Concert at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KZN on Sunday, 20 August.
"I always love to perform at home in KZN. This event is one of the unique events that brings together some of the best talent in the province. Zakes Banwtini, Minnie Dlamini, Shekinah, DJ Le Soul and Nomcebo Zikode. It's going to be amazing. So, when I was invited to perform, there was no way I wasn’t going to deny the opportunity. I’m looking forward to it.
“People must look forward to a mix they haven't heard before. Imagine house music, qqom and a little bit of opera. We'll be dancing, playing some classics and new music. I've just dropped a new album, so I'll be test-driving some music from the new project, Malume Way,” Tira said.
