AWARD-WINNING gospel artist Themba Nyathi has done it again.
The artist left the stage with a teary face on Saturday, 5 November when he bagged yet another award as the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s only Xitsonga radio station, Munghana Lonene FM, held its 17th Xitsonga Music Awards ceremony at Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen.
The Tsonga gospel artist is humbled by the great support system he has received after winning an award for the Most Popular Song for Akuna Tlhari, which has ultimately opened more doors for him.

Themba from Hluvukani Village in Mpumalanga, who is also a businessman running a hair clinic and a clothing brand, told SunBuzz he couldn’t believe it when he was announced as the winner.
“Wow, I didn’t know what to do. That moment is unexplainable. My fans and supporters ran to the stage before me because I was shaking and happy at the same time,” he said.
“The feeling is unexplainable. The song, Akuna Tlhari, is loved by people.
“I even receive testimonies from people across South Africa.”
“People are downloading the song and it is ministering to their souls,” Themba said.
He said the win came as a shock because of the artists he was nominated with in the category.

“I was so shocked because the artists I was with in the category of Most Popular Song showed more dedication and had the courage to market themselves for votes.
“While on the other hand I visited schools and churches and asked for votes and that helped me a lot.
“I didn’t know the votes were enough to lead me to winning the awards, but it I guess they were enough
“I’m grateful to all my fans for their continued love and support.”
