SINGER Prudence Mkhize has expressed her deep connection to gospel music, saying it truly reflects her true emotions.
The 34-year-old, inspired by the renowned Osinachi Kalu Okoro Egbu, better known as Sinach, embarked on her musical journey.
She found solace and healing in Osinachi's melodies.
Growing up, Prudence experienced rejection.
"As an up-and-coming gospel musician, I'm finding it hard to get connections in the industry and financial stability," she said.
The singer from Mbombela, Mpumalanga, said the other challenge is not getting gigs, but is surviving through God's grace.

"Recording my first song professionally, a live recording of Siyabonga in 2024 and not in the studio, was such an overwhelming experience. You need to engage with the audience and bring out the best performance," Prudence said.
"I think God was preparing me specifically for this ministry."
Prudence is a member of the Gospel Runners Prophetic Ministry worship team.
"I'm a bubbly and humble individual. I love seeing people succeed in life, especially the youth. I have a soft spot for young people. I always encourage them to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. I'm also humbled by what God did in my life, bringing such great impact in people's lives," said Prudence, who describes herself as a go-getter.
She released Umusa in 2021 and was featured on the song Ngeke Ushiye by DJ Edit SA in 2023.
