ACTRESS Bubu Mazibuko has revealed that she welcomed twin boys a few months ago.
Bubu shared a picture of herself holding her babies on Instagram while celebrating her birthday.
The fraternal twins are named Isulakhe and Avuyile.
The 48-year-old actress said 2023 has been a great and rough year for her.
“I like that my birthday is in December because it’s also a chance for me to reflect, wrap it up and forge ahead to next year. Wow 2023. What A Year! 2023 was for me both the greatest year of my life and yet the roughest year I’ve ever been through. But did I mention greatest and most beautiful,” she wrote.
She also explained what her children’s names mean.
“So, I’m reminded that every time God denies me something, it’s because he always has that greater promise for me. I know this because once he decides, it’s time. He does incredible things for me. Isulakhe (God’s Plan in Zulu) and Avuyile (AmaBHELE) because that’s who we are.
“They were born a little early, another challenge and huddle to get through but once again, God made everything alright. And here we are. Grateful,” the actress said.

Bubu said motherhood has been tough, but she’s pulling through.
“Don’t be fooled by the dopeness, most days I’m covered in vomit, drool and poop and just left feeling like I’m dealing with two terrorists. Caring for two small babies ain’t no tea party. This is demonstrated on the last frame, it’s their world, I just live in it. Cheers to my awesome husband for being the best dad and partner in this journey. And thanks to our supportive community of friends and family,” she said.
She revealed her pregnancy in May, saying the journey had been a tough one.
“I was going to detail the hardships of this journey for us, and I probably will write about it one day, but today all I want to express is gratitude. Thank you to everyone who held our hands through this long process. Family, friends and particularly our fertility doctors,” she wrote.
