ACTRESS Bubu Mazibuko’s sister has won her fight against cancer.

Bubu posted a photo of herself and her sister, Pumi Lukhele on Instagram and said she beat Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Bubu said her world came to a standstill when her sister was diagnosed with cancer. She said Pumi was in Mauritius when it happened and she had to be transported back to South Africa.

“This is my little sister @pumilukhele. She beat Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer. But when this started early 2021 my world was brought to a halt. Far from Mauritius where it all started (for her), away from home where she was eventually air ambulanced… frustrated and feeling helpless,” she wrote.

She said Pumi is one of the strongest people she knows.

“God instead directly held her together so she could hold us weak links together through this journey. Coz boy was I a mess! Honestly one of (literally) the strongest people I know. Not just physically but mentally,” she wrote.

Bubu, who now lives in Los Angeles in the USA, said she quietly planned her trip to South Africa so she could support her sister.

She wrote: “We planned my SA trip quietly and I’m grateful I got home in time to watch her beat the tail end of this monster. The first two pics are my sis just before her final two chemotherapy treatments. You Did It, Love!”

“Thanks for choosing me Pumi. I love being in the company of women of your calibre. I love watching you handle life and its challenges,” she continued.
