RADIO host, singer and motivational speaker Kedebone Mkhabela is ready for greener pastures.
The 43-year-old said she was leaving the station after being with it for seven years.
Before making a name for herself on radio, she was one of the most recognised faces on TV as an SABC1 continuity presenter. She was also the co-host of Mzansi Insider.
The presenter, who was born in Pienaar in Mpumalanga, told Daily Sun that she had a great time at the station, and she was ready to spread her wings.
Kedebone said she joined the station in 2016 alongside DJ Sbu. She said this was when they were looking to grow their reach. She was the host of Rise FM lunch with Mizz K. Kedebone said the show aired from 12 noon till 3pm.
"I’ve hosted the the 9am to 12 noon and 12 noon to 3pm shows and had the best performing shows. It’s been a great journey of growth, lessons and fun times," she said.
The presenter said she loved connecting with her listeners both on and off air.

"I take pride in playing a role in helping the stations grow. I loved spending time with them. I hope I made them as happy as they’ve made me but most importantly, I hope we learnt from one another through our conversations," she said.
Kedebone said she loved how great her listeners were and how they shared their stories with her throughout all the years.
"I’ve been wanting to grow my brand as a businesswoman. I’ve done a lot over the years. I’d like that to also take centre stage as I'm focusing on my community development work," she said.
The presenter said she will be fulfilling a commitment she made with a certain bank seven years ago. She said the programme involved music, people and headphones.
Her message to young people is that they must nice and not give up on their dreams.
"My faith has carried me through so many battles. I pray they have a relationship with God and grow in it because for me that’s where my success in life comes from. Respect your gifts and follow your dreams,"
"You are never too old to start anything you are truly passionate about. Rise young ones and never look back," Kedebone said.
