Thobela FM presenter JJ Menu has died.

RENOWNED Limpopo-based radio station Thobela FM is in mourning.

This is following the untimely death of their beloved presenter, Johannah "JJ" Sebolaishi Seloga, known as JJ Menu.

The sad news of the famous presenter's death came out on Monday, 23 October. 

At the time of her death, JJ Menu was 39 years old.

On Tuesday, 24 October, the SABC radio station released a statement regarding the late radio presenter. 

"Thobela FM has learnt with heavy hearts of the passing of its presenter Johanna Sebolaishi Seloga (JJ Menu) who passed away on Monday, 23 October 2023. JJ joined Thobela FM in 2007," the statement read.

JJ Menu presented shows such as Thoba Matswalo and Re mmogo

The presenter was famously known for her Sunday show, Lesang bana. She was also the producer of the Sepedi programme called Moremogolo.

According to the station and her colleagues, her presence on-air and at the station will be sorely missed.

Limpopo combo business manager Madikana Matjila said they were hurt by her death.

“We're all hurt by JJ's passing and wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the family and all our listeners. We are hurt also that millions of children and families have lost a servant as JJ delivered with passion our children's religions programming, as well as our all-time favourite ‘Moremogolo’ where she served as a producer," he said.


The station also expressed their gratitude to the listeners for the outpouring of support during this difficult time and extended their condolences to JJ Menu's family and colleagues.
