RADIO personality and public relations guru Lumphumlo "Lupi" Ngcayisa graduated from the Wits Business School.
The Joburg-based media personality from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape broke the good news on his social media platforms on Wednesday, 21 February.
The 47-year-old Lupi told Daily Sun that he graduated with a management advancement programme.
He said he received his very first university degree (BA in Communications Science) at the age of 41 after years and years of dropping in and out of university.
Now he has three post-matric university qualifications and is working on his fourth one.
"This is the journey towards the master's in business administration (MBA). And we are going to celebrate every milestone along the way. We started with the management advancement programme(MAP), followed by a postgraduate diploma in business administration, which is to be completed in June.
"It's encouraging to see many people being inspired by these humble achievements in my academic development, and I'm most appreciative of the congratulatory messages," he said.
Lupi said he is happy with his journey so far because after passing matric in 1994, he never had the opportunity to go to varsity because of the lack of finances.
He said he has always believed that it's never too late to acquire a university degree or anything in life.
"To young people, stay focused and never give up. To my age group, you are never too old to achieve your childhood dreams and aspirations," he said.

The presenter said education remains one of the greatest achievements in life. He said even though many graduates are jobless, it's important to be equipped and empowered with education.
"Those who have an opportunity to pursue higher education, please do so with zeal and dedication. Acquiring higher education is a huge privilege," Lumphumlo said.
He said he's launching his podcast and is working on producing documentaries.
"I have the privilege to consult for the Thabo Mbeki Foundation, and project manage the foundation's flagship projects such as the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day Lecture. In 2023, the lecture was hosted in Guinea Conakry, West Africa," he said.
"The five-day programme included a Miriam Makeba tribute concert which we staged and produced, having brought in various musicians from SA and the West African region.
"Having produced and hosted the president's 77th and 80th birthday gala dinners, respectively, the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day Lecture in Guinea Conakry was the most challenging yet rewarding experience," he said.
Lupi worked as a radio broadcaster on Umhlobo Wenene FM and has also worked at big stations such as YFM, Metro FM, 702, and Radio 2000, including Dirco's Ubuntu radio.
