EX-BAFANA BAFANA star, Thandani "Bibo" Ntshumayelo's assault case is postponed until May.

Bibo made a brief appearance in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday, 4 April. His case was postponed to Tuesday, 21 May for further investigations.

The Joburg-based star's last court appearance was on Monday, 5 February 2024.

The 33-year-old is alleged to have assaulted his girlfriend, Itumeleng Alice in February.

Bibo was arrested on Saturday, 3 February 2024 and released on R1 000 bail. He faces common assault charges according to the Domestic Violence Act.

At the time of the incident, police spokeswoman, Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, confirmed the arrest.

Bibo has been playing for Orlando Pirates a couple of years. This was after the footballer left SuperSport United in 2012.

He was banned from the game in 2016 after testing positive for cocaine.

Bibo was given a lifeline to return to football when his ban was reduced to two years after an appeal.
