SINDISIWE Manqele, who killed rapper Nkululeko “Flabba” Habedi, has spoken up months after being released from prison.
On Podcast & Chill with MacG on Monday, 10 October, she shared bits and pieces of what happened the night the Skwatta Kamp rapper died, as well as how life in prison had been for her.
Flabba was stabbed to death in 2015 and Sindisiwe was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2016. She was released on parole in May this year.
Speaking to Macgyver “MacG” Mukwevho as well as his co-hosts Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady, she shared on her relationship with Flabba. They started dating in 2006 but broke up in 2007 when she found out he was married.

However, she said they got back together years later and dated until Flabba died.
Though Sindisiwe didn’t go into much detail about the night Flabba died, she said all would be revealed in a documentary she was working on.
“I’m going to talk about that in the documentary. But we were drunk and tempers were high. We had gone out, got intoxicated and there was a bit of jealousy. We got into a drunk fight and it escalated because things were said. We were saying terrible things to each other and it took the wrong turn,” she said.
She said that what happened was a mistake, and she knew that Flabba had forgiven her.
“We spoke before he passed after I had stabbed him. He knew that I didn’t mean to do that. He was alive for an hour but the ambulance took long. It took two hours to come,” she said.
Sindisiwe also revealed that she was now a law student, which was inspired by her court case. She started the course in 2017 while in jail.
“I realised that I’m actually good at law because my legal team was nice. They would let me attend briefings. I would add ideas and they would tell me I was good,” she said.

She revealed that she would be graduating this year, and go on to use her LLB to help women.
“There’s a lot that I learnt from being inside. And with most women in there, there was a man involved. I told myself that I would start an NPO for women and advocate for their rights through my LLB,” she concluded.
