Artists under Cultural and Creative Industries Federation of South Africa said they are aware of the project and are supporting anything that will benefit the community.
The organisation’s chairman, Mbuso “DJ Sox” Sokhela, told Daily Sun they are supporting the project.
“We are aware of the project even though we did not get a formal letter inviting us. But we don’t have a problem as we support everything that puts the community first,” said DJ Sox.
He said their members should feel free to participate in the clean-up campaign.
“We are happy when the government works with private companies on projects that are part of service delivery,” said DJ Sox.
