MANY families usually spend Christmas Day together having fun and eating plenty of food, but not in Durban.
This is because Durban Underground organisers believe there's no rule that says people should stay home on Christmas Day.
So, they want people to come out and have fun at their event, which will take place at Virginia Airport in Durban on 25 Decemeber.
The DJ edition will have top artists such as DJ Tira, Oscar Mbo, DJ Sox, Dlala Thukzin, Kususa, Kweyama Brothers, DJ Merlon, as well as Goldmax.
Event organiser Mbusi "DJ Sox" Sokhela told Daily Sun that the main purpose of the event is to keep Durban warm in terms of entertainment on Christmas Day.

“Durban is a tourist destination, and many people want to have fun on holidays like Christmas, so they can’t find Durban without any event.
“That's why I started this event 20 years ago to keep Durban entertainment at a higher level on Christmas Day. Tourists who will be around Durban and want to have fun know where to go,” he said.
DJ Sox said that the event is open to everyone.
“It's a day to groove and enjoy and it does matter that it's Christmas Day. Christmas Day means people must have fun and enjoy themselves.
“Durban is always for holiday makers, and we don’t want them to get bored on Christmas Day because there are a few entertainment events,” he said.
He said the event has been growing every year since it started many years ago.
