“THEY know that nothing will happen to them.”
These were the words of DJ Shimza, who said he was gatvol with UberEats services and how the company continued to treat its customers.
The producer and businessman told Daily Sun that drivers were doing as they pleased because they knew that no one would hold them accountable for their actions.
This after he took to Twitter, sharing with his followers his unpleasant experience with an UberEats driver.
He claimed that the driver wanted to drive off with his late-night meal on Wednesday, 1 February.
Real name Ashley Raphala (38), he said he realised that the food was in his driveway but to his surprise, the driver completed the trip while passing by. The security at his estate then had to bring him back.
While asking for an explanation from the driver, he took a video, that he later posted on social media.

“UberEats drivers have found a way to steal food. I had to call my gate to not let the driver out after completing the delivery without delivering the food. He says I cancelled while I saw him just pass my house. Security brought him back after he refused to drive back @UberEats,” he posted.
He said that since it was the last delivery of the day, shops were closed so he would not have to take back the order.
“Passing by my house was so when UberEats checks his tracker, it shows that he went to the address. All he has to say is that he did deliver,” he said.
Uber Support then responded to his tweets, saying: “Hi there. Sorry to hear about the trouble. Delivery partners who partner with Uber agree to maintain a high standard of professional service. If you have a specific concern, please DM us the full details of the incident and the trip details (date, driver’s name) so we can assist you further. Once again, we are so sorry to hear about your bad experience.”

His followers also shared their experiences with him, with Heavy K sharing that the same had happened to him.
DJ Franky commented: “Trash app this. Stop using it. The driver is telling you to report him because he knows your complaint will be handled by their automated responses, even on DM. Standards are now below Bolt. They won’t hire real people to respond.”
Nini added: “Same thing happened to me last year. I fought both KFC and UberEats. KFC ended up apologising and sending me a voucher. I deleted the app afterwards.”
