DJ Jawz talks about relationships on his latest single.

DJ JAWZ said mjolo wa nyisa and it's a pandemic, and this can be heard on his new single, titled Umjolo.

The DJ and producer, whose real name is Itumeleng Sebola, said relationships aren't easy to keep and it's up to individuals to make them work.

He told Daily Sun the song is already doing well since it was released on Friday, 30 June. He said his focus right now is on amapiano.

"That's the reason they call me DJ Jawz The No.1 party DJ. I worked with new kids on the block. I worked with DeepXplosion and Misstwaggy on the song. It's a follow-up on the song I did with DeepXplosion titled Makwakwazeli. Umjolo is an amapiano song about a relationship, and that you get what you put in if you want any relationship to work. Relationships are not easy," he said.

DJ Jawz said the song means a lot to him as he went through all the hardships of relationships.

"The formula to get it right is that you have to fight for it and make necessary adjustments to your life if you are the problem. The song has been received with warm hearts and I had the opportunity to play it in the US on my 'Empire State of Mind tour' which I just got back from," he said.

DJ Jawz said the song is very easy on the ear, with Misstwaggy's strong vocal presence cutting through the not-so-hard but progressive amapiano beat.

The musician said he is working on two projects in 2023.

"One being an EP with Deepxplosion which is set to drop in August and Dondo the Album which is dropping on my birthday month (September)," he said.

The musician said people should expect a lot from him.

"I'm busy working on those amapiano projects with Sanza Lo, DeepXplosion, Loxion League, Abuti Lolo, Theo Nhlengethwa (Boom Shaka), and many other new kids on the block like DJ Abileash, whom I have already recorded a track which is set to drop mid-July.

"My next releases are going to shake. I will be touring again this year doing shows in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Paris, pushing all my releases and just playing my part in pushing amapiano abroad," said DJ Jawz.
