HOUSE music duo Black Motion will be hosting their Friends Of Black Motion (FOBM) event on Saturday, 8 July at Lion Safari Park in Hartbeespoort.
This will be the first FOBM since the original duo split after 10 years together.
Mörda, whose real name is Robert Bongani Mohosana, is exploring his own solo career and was replaced by the talented and versatile DJ, Problem Child Ten83, who partnered with Thabo Smol as the new face of Black Motion.
Speaking to Daily Sun, the manager of the FOBM brand, Tshepo Moloi said this will be the third event they're hosting.
“This is the 3rd installment of the event, and we are thrilled to be growing in numbers as well as attracting some reputable sponsors,” he said.
He said they chose to do the event at Lion Safari Park because it went with their brand.

“We’ve always loved being in nature, either performing or hosting events, so when Lion Park management approached us for a collaboration, this felt like a perfect match. This meant that we can host a beautiful event where everyone is in touch with almost all elements of life (water, fire, air and earth),” said Tshepo.
He said on the day, there will be more artists and DJs who will also be performing.
“We have what we call friends of Black Motion DJs who are supporting the main act (Black Motion). They are Chainz from the Vaal, Soul bee from Mabopane, Osaze from Polokwane, Rosetta Deep from KZN, MCK from Cape Town, Kelvin from Joburg, and Kaynine, Dolly Ditebogo, as well as Lady TT from Tshwane," he said.
He said the event helps new DJs to showcase their talents.
“With the event growing, it sets a platform for us to unearth new talent and expand our brand while giving fans new experiences as opposed to the usual norm of being inside a club crammed up,” he said.
