SCATHAMIYA group Thee Legacy is all about spreading positive vibes.
The group said their music is all about love and encouraging people that they can still make it in life.
Thee Legacy from Durban, KZN has released a love song titled Hlala Nam featuring Mnqobi Yazo, fusing contemporary scathamiya and Afro-pop.
They said their single will be followed by their long-awaited second album titled Isicathamiya for New Millennium after releasing their debut album, titled Thee Legacy, in 2016.
Group leader Jabulani Mthembu told Daily Sun that their song teaches people in relationships about the importance of apologising.
“This time we are encouraging people that asking their lover not to leave after a fight is important.

“People in relationships normally fight for different reasons but one should know their mistake, apologise and ask their partner to not leave,” he said.
Mthembu is the grandson of the five-time Grammy award-winning scathamiya group Ladysmith Black Mambazo's retired member, Russel Mthembu, who nurtured Ladysmith Black Mambazo with other members.
He said they are happy that they started the new genre - contemporary scathamiya and are keeping it alive.
“We make sure that we give music lovers what they want because they love contemporary music as it caters for large audiences, including traditional and modern ones.
“Although we are not releasing albums every year because many people now don’t believe in buying albums, we make sure that maybe after four months we release a single,” he said.
