CELEBRATIONS were the order of the day as Kwa-Mashu Community Advancement Projects (KCAP) students received their certificates.
The graduation for the Actors Incubation Mentorship programme (AIMPRO) was on Friday, 24 March, at Stable Theatre, Durban.
The 10-month programme has produced hundreds of creatives in Mzansi.
A director of telenovela, The River, Kholeka Madulini, enrolled on the programme in 2017.
She welcomed graduates into the world of arts.
"My journey started with Ishashazi Theatre, and at that time, I dreamt of working for Isibaya. I am happy to mention that after doing this programme, I fulfilled my dream."
She also cautioned students about the industry.
“It requires you to have your voice and to have a backbone. In this industry, no one is your friend and it's a small industry yet so big. Learn from others, respect your colleagues and your craft," said Kholeka.

Another former student is Angel Zuma, a lead actress on Umkhokha: The Curse.
She gave students words of encouragement.
"Everything you learnt will become very useful. But you must continue getting more knowledge because knowledge is never enough. There's a lot to learn in this industry. Never wait for auditions and use your social platforms to market your work," Zuma said.
Thee Legacy group leader, Jabulani Mthembu, said he also started his career with this program.
"You should consider yourself fortunate because it's never easy to get in. One of the things we were taught in this program is discipline. When I joined, I was just a musician, but ended up acting. I've travelled the world and performed on international stages," said Jabulani.
The facilitators of the programme were Sibusiso Sithole, Sfundza Ndzuza, Zawadi Yamungu, Mandisa Mbamb, Steven Chauke and Edmund Mhlongo.
