MSUNDUZI Municipality in Pietermaritzburg has congratulated Ayanda Thabethe, the first runner-up in Miss South Africa 2022 for making it to the top two.

The municipality described this as an excellent achievement.

The post reads: “A big congratulations to Ayanda Thabethe, from our district uMgungundlovu, a resident in one of our family of municipalities, Msunduzi, for making it to the top two Miss SA 2022 finale.

“What an excellent achievement, we are very proud of you. Keep shining the light of positive energy, resulting in greater things.”

KZN residents, family, neighbours and friends also joined in the celebrations and congratulated their own.

Phemelo Tumelo wrote: “Wow wow Ayanda Thabethe, you’ve made us proud as your neighbours, keep shining bby gal, you deserve more sthandwasam.”

Siphelele Thwala commented:”Very smart I must add. Congrats. City of Choice well presented.”

Sbu Molefe said: “Congratulations are in order for Ayanda Thabethe on becoming the 1st runner up in Miss South Africa 2022. You did great Ntombi. Madliwa!”

Miss South Africa 2022 was held on Saturday, 13 August in SunBet Arena at Time Square, Tshwane.

Ndavi Nokeri walked away with the crown.
