DJ Mbali Umshove is set to drop a banging EP next week.

MBALI Dandala, popularly known as DJ Mbali Umshove, has become a household name since her appearance on Kabza De Small’s music video.

She appeared on Kabza’s first hit single Umshove in 2019 and has since been hustling her way up in the music industry, making a name for herself.

The 26-year-old Kokstad-born DJ and producer started her career off as a video vixen under Sizzle’s Management.

She shared with SunBuzz that after attracting a lot of attention, she then saw an opportunity to grow her brand.

“At the time being a DJ was the best way to go about it.

“I took that route not knowing it will land me into the production side of things,” she said.

Mbali has worked with Audio Addicts and Soulful G on her first ever single titled Konka, which has reached heights with over 150 000 views on YouTube.

Her EP will drop on Thursday, 25 August.

She also hinted that this EP was inspired by her love of music.

She shared that she has featured the likes of Audio Addicts, Nandi Ndathane, Nhlonipho, DJ Bom, Soulful G and The Bartender on the EP.

The DJ further mentioned that she will be dropping singles after her EP is released. Next month she will be heading to Harare, Zimbabwe. She will then be performing at the Eketshe Musical Festival, taking place from 8 to 9 October, in Mount Ayliff in the Eastern Cape.
