INFLUENCERS, actors, and beauty lovers gathered on Thursday, 26 October, for the Edgars Beauty store relaunch in Sandton.
Red and white was the order of the day as roses filled the luxurious store.
Talking to Daily Sun Head of Buying, Diane Gounden said the store was revamped after ten years.
“It’s being revamped in 2023 with new international brands like Bobbie Brown, Benefit, YSL and more,” she said.
She said that they have collections of fragrances that are luxury.
“We cater to the needs of customers that buy into premium fragrances, beauty, colour and skin care,” she said.
She said as much as they sell luxury cosmetics, they also cater for those who can’t afford expensive brands.
“We are trying to cater for the needs of all customers in the country,” she said.

She said that they are proud of their journey.
“It’s an 18-month-long journey that we’ve taken to get to this point. It is the biggest beauty store in South Africa. It is the biggest store for retail ability for Edgars, so we are really proud of the journey we’ve walked with our suppliers and ourselves,” she said.
She said they have come a long way.
“For us, Edgars beauty, we’ve come a long way from where we were two years ago. We are getting new brands into the business to cater to new consumers, brands like Fenty Beauty and Armani, as well as brands like Essence and Maybelline,” she said.
She said anyone who is a lover of beauty is allowed into their store.
One of the people attending the event, Karabo Kgomo, said that she is happy to have a store that will be catering for all people.
“This is beautiful, and I like that anyone can come in this store and come out with something in their hands. Not everything is expensive,” she said.
