THE Bakgatla-ba-kgafela Royal family will host their inaugural Mmamitlwa Food and Music festival next weekend. 

The event will take place at Moruleng Stadium in the North West on Saturday, 29 April. 

The show will feature stars such as K.O, Bongo Maffin, Mr. JazziQ , Khuli Chana, as well as and Fifi Cooper. 

TV host Stoan Seate, Lebo Molax, Lesego Phiri, and Thabang Sefotho will be the emcees. 

Manager in the office of Bakgatla ba Kgafela, Pilane Sebele, told Daily Sun that it’s going to be a show to remember. 

"This is the first food festival in the North West and we are the hosts," he said.

Sebele urged people to come and celebrate with them.

"The aim of this event is to boost tourism in Moruleng and uplift the community of Moruleng. On Friday, 21 April as the build-up to the festival, we will be launching a road fixing project, a new museum, the Bakgatla soccer tournament, as well as the Mmamitlwa Food and Music Festival,” he said.

Sebele said ythe money made at the event will go towards uplifting community projects.

He said those who love a good time and food will gather in one space and enjoy the best culinary experience.
