THE South African Amapiano Awards are set to take place tonight, Tuesday, 12 December, at The Galleria in Sandton, Joburg, after two date changes.
The main event will be hosted by dancer and choreographer, Bontle Modiselle, while amapiano stars Vyno Miller and Bontle Smith will host the red carpet.
There will be performances from amapiano’s finest such as Toss, MaWhoo, Babalwa M, Afriikan Papi, Justin 99, as well as Pcee.
Kabza De Small, who was the biggest winner at the South African Music Awards (Samas), is also the most nominated artist at the Amapiano Awards.
He leads the pack with nine nominations, including Amapiano Artist of the Year, Best Amapiano Music Producer, Best Amapiano Produced Song, Best Amapiano Collaboration and Best Amapiano Collaboration, among other categories.

Toss and Young Stunna follow with eight nominations each, and Uncle Waffles has been nominated in seven categories.
Other nominees include DBN Gogo, MaWhoo, Nkosazana Daughter, Pabi Cooper and Uncle Waffles for Best Amapiano Female Artist. While Focalistic, Scorpion Kings, Kelvin Momo, Musa Keys and Young Stunna are up for Best Amapiano Male Artist.
The nominees for Best Amapiano Newcomer are Felo Le Tee, Pabi Cooper, Toss, Uncle Waffles and Young Stunna.
Focalistic, Kamo Mphela, Major League DJz, Musa Keys and Uncle Waffles are nominated for Best Amapiano Styled Artist.
CEO, Qness Ndlovu said the night will be one to remember.
