SOUTH AFRICA is yet to submit the extradition application for two suspects in Eswatini.
The suspects, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, appeared in the Manzini Magistrates Court in Eswatini on Tuesday, 12 March for the extradition application hearing.
The two murder suspects were arrested while hiding in Eswatini. They are linked to the murders of Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane.
As the extradition application hasn't arrived in Eswatini, the matter was remanded to 20 March.
During the court hearing, the defence requested that the provision of order for the detention of cellphones be extended.
There was a debate on who should keep the cellphones.
The prosecution revealed that the cellphones are a matter on their own, and they don't come with the extradition.

But in the end, it was decided that the detention be extended until the application for extradition is completed.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said they were still busy with the application.
The state requested that the brothers remain in custody pending the filing of the formal extradition application.
Magistrate David Khumalo said the brothers would remain in custody pending lodging of a formal extradition application as requested by the state.
These two brothers and other five suspects who were arrested in Mzansi are linked to the murders of AKA and Tibz.
They were caught hiding in Eswatini. Should the extradition be granted, they will join their co-five accused in the Durban Magistrates Court.
The five were arrested in Durban and are due to appear on Thursday, 14 March for a bail application.
AKA (35) and Motsoane (41) were fatally shot on 10 February 2023 outside the restaurant Wish on Florida on Durban’s Florida Road.
