AFRO-POP musician Zee Nxumalo is finally about to enjoy the fruit of her labour.

The rising vocalist has been releasing hits and has featured on popular tracks since her debut in 2019. She’s known for her hit single titled Pholile featuring Azana and Mlindo The Vocalist.

Now, the 23-year-old star will release all the projects she’s been working on this year and said people will see her talent through them.

“I feel like we’ve been cooking these pots in the past years, and it’s now time to dish and serve the people. I’m looking forward to enjoying the fruit of my labour in 2024,” she said.

Since its release, it has already been streamed over three million times across various platforms.

"Songs like this feel like they come directly from God. Just like with my single Nguwe which I just released two weeks ago, I didn’t write the song as it was a freestyle. I didn’t plan for it to come out that way. The funny thing is Funk 55 came when an Uber was waiting for me. We had just spoken about requesting for a car and before I could do so, I asked Les to let me record something quickly before I headed out. So, I did one take, and then I was done. The song was created,” Zee said.

The songstress said she thinks she’s been successful because she's been consistent in her work.

“I think it’s just consistency. It’s not always a matter of always making hits. It’s not about making big songs. It’s just consistency. It’s about always being there at the studio sessions, photoshoots, promotional opportunities, and everywhere else I’m needed,” she said.
