Singer Mthandazo Gatya reveals inspiration behind his new venture.

SINGER takes his side hustle seriously!

Musician and songwriter Mthandazo Gatya believes this is the only way to keep going in this industry.

The Joburg-based singer said he started his own juice business called Juisic Beverages South Africa.

The 31-year-old from Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape said it keeps him busy wherever he's not in the studio recording new music.

He told Daily Sun he'll be launching it soon to his supporters.

The Senzeni hitmaker said: "The business was inspired by my love for music and juice. I fused both of them and came up with the name JuiSic, which is 100% fruit juice."

Mthandazo said he started the business in 2020.

He said he was hit by Covid-19 and took a break to restructure the business.

The musician said in 2024, he'll relaunch the brand and make it accessible to everyone.

"The music industry is a short-term career. You are not guaranteed longevity because anything is possible. You can be at the top today and tomorrow you’re out. So, while still up there it’s advisable that you explore other avenues and use your fame to open doors for yourself."

"I'll be launching a food spot in March. I’m also having a global Afro-beat album dropping in 2024 with some international features. Some of the projects will be disclosed as the year progresses," he said.
