JOYOUS Celebration founder Lindelani Mkhize and legendary gospel star, Lusanda Mcinga, will be honoured at the 10th Ingoma Awards.
The news was announced by the founder and event organiser of the awards, Dan Raseluma.
He said these two icons were suggested by the committee and more names might be added.
The main ceremony will take place at the Red Conference Centre in Greenstone, Joburg on Saturday, 26 August.
Dan told Daily Sun that there will be a lot of exciting changes.

“Reaching 10 years is a milestone. It’s been a long journey, but God saw us through. In celebration of this milestone, we have introduced three special categories. They are Artists of the Decade, Song of the Decade, and Album of the Decade.
“The Artist of the Decade will be someone who has managed to stay relevant for the past 10 years, from 2013 to 2023. The same applies to the Song and Album of the decade. These three special categories are a once-off and will be reintroduced after 10 years from now,” said Dan.
He said that they have also added special programmes, just for this year’s event.
“Our celebrations will start as early as Saturday, 27 May. On this day, gospel artists will be playing games such as soccer. We’ve already invited them to participate in these games. I must also highlight that nomination lines are already opened, and they are closing on Tuesday, 2 May,” said Dan.
Nominees will be announced on Friday, 26 May and followed by a voting process, which will start on the same night until Thursday, 10 August.
“On Friday, we will host a gala dinner and then on Saturday, we will have the main event. I am also happy to announce that some of the winners will go overseas for a cultural exchange programme. For now, we are not disclosing the name of the country,” he said.
