Anatii, the acclaimed multi-faceted musician and producer has dropped a stunning music video for his hit single WENA from his SAMA nominated album IYEZA.

Directed by the Electronic Bushman as Anatii is affectionately called and Lindo Langa, it is produced by Thando Sangqu. The production team also includes Mpumelelo Mdunge as the creative director and Mninizo ‘Sitho’ Bandezi as director of photography.

The video opens up with a stirring poetic prose penned by the late struggle icon Charlotte Maxeke read by the legendary isiXhosa television newscaster Noxolo Grootboom. In it she asks for men of honour to respect and protect women and stand up against any kind of abuse.

What follows are scenes that celebrate love in all its shapes and forms - father to daughter, man to woman, woman to woman as couples express their intimacy freely. Actress Thishiwe Ziqubu and her partner Mandisa Nduna make an appearance.

The social consciousness doesn’t take away the entertainment factor and the remarkable cinematography Anatii managed to conjure up.

It's significant that the video was released on Friday 17 May 2019 which is International day against homophobia, biphobia, inter sexism and transphobia.

Anatii goes to this month’s SAMA25 in Sun City with two nominations in Best African Adult Contemporary Album and Male Artist of the Year for IYEZA.
