ACTRESS and DJ, Thuli Phongolo, has cancelled all the gigs she had for this week due to testing positive for Covid-19.
The former Generations: The Legacy actor released a statement on Saturday, 20 November, saying that she is unable to fulfil her commitments.
“Hello friends, it is with sadness that I have unfortunately tested positive for Covid-19 and will no longer be able to fulfil any of my engagements,” she wrote.
Thuli said she was keeping safe and taking medication to treat herself.
“I have taken the necessary safety precautions by self-isolating and taking the medication prescribed by the doctor. Always remember to stay safe and take all the necessary Covid-19 precautions,” she wrote.
Thuli had gigs planned from Thursday, 18 November up until Tuesday, 23 November

A fan commented on her post on Friday, 19 November and said he drove all the way from Eswatini to see Thuli DJ at Bahama Bar in Kwa Thema, Ekurhuleni last Monday, 15 November. Thuli told him she was too sick to go to gigs.
“And then I drove all the way from Swaziland to Bahamas and you did not come on Monday ....was so hurt,” wrote Muhluncedo.
Thuli responded: “I was way too sick. I couldn’t make it.”
On Saturday, she thanked people for showing her love and wishing her well.
“The love I’m receiving from my family, friends, team, brands and my followers is beyond me! Thank you so much... I’m not horribly sick but I’m definitely fighting the virus! I appreciate YOU all!” she wrote.
