Model and influencer Nozipho Mashaba is passionate about changing the world.
The 27-year-old beauty queen is from Ha-Kutama Village in Venda, Limpopo, but lives in Ruimsig, west of Joburg.
She said she is confident her journey will inspire and help fellow youngsters.
She spoke to SunBuzz about what her hopes are. “I believe my life journey has always been an inspiration and I would like to share with the world the beauty of what l do, and how people can help me change the world for the better.
“My aim is to empower young people to go after their own dreams regardless of what society says or where they come from,” she said.
“My move to Joburg is the one thing that made me see the gap between the urban and the rural areas. I then decided to start my organisation, Raising a Nation Foundation, so I can bridge the gap between the fortunate and the less fortunate by providing programmes of social education and recreational activities within a safe and secure environment,” said Nozipho.

“Raising a Nation Foundation is an educational organisation focused on mentoring young people from the age of 12-35 to become civic-minded leaders with the aim to help break the cycle of GBV, unemployment and poverty by helping youth discover career paths and mentoring them from 7th grade throughout university graduation until they start their careers.”
The model is also working on another life-changing project. She will also be launching a new beauty pageant called Miss Makhado Royal.
“I will be launching the first annual Miss Makhado Royal in my beautiful Makhado Municipality in Venda this year. A platform that empowers young women to become role models and motivation to the youth of Makhado,” she said.
“It will be a six-month full intense growth programme that will equip all of our finalists with confidence, entrepreneurship skills and leadership skills in order to come out of this programme as Holistic Women of Impact and Influence.”
The beauty queen holds the title of Face of GAMA Princess. She was crowned at the Golden Art & Media Awards on 20 December 2021.
