DJ and TV presenter Lamiez Holworthy has won people’s hearts after she helped a couple get engaged.

People have been singing her praises since a video of her surprising a fan that was getting engaged was circulated on social media.

The man, whose name is Corbett, asked for Lamiez to be present when he proposes because his girlfriend is a fan. He said it was her birthday on Thursday, 10 February and Lamiez agreed.

“Hi Lamiez, my girlfriend is your biggest fan and it’s her birthday on Thursday. I want to propose her in front of you. We can do it anytime from Thursday to Sunday anywhere in Gauteng. Please @LamiezHolworthy,” wrote Corbett.

Lamiez said she would bring a gift and flowers for her.

“Wow! Really? This is special, let’s make it happen. I’ll buy flowers and a small nyana gift too,” she wrote.

On Friday, 11 February Lamiez and Corbett posted the proposal video, which had people melting over it.

Corbett thanked Lamiez for being part of the proposal and she responded thanking them for including her in their special day.

“Thank you very much @LamiezHolworthy. It was a big surprise for her. #nationalEngagement,” wrote Corbett.

Lamiez responded: “No,t hank you for allowing me to be a part of something so special. This was definitely one of my highlights mo bophelong.”
