DJ AND radio presenter DJ Fresh thanked his parents for not giving up on him.

He posted pictures of his parents on Facebook and told stories of how naughty he was as a kid.

On his birthday on Friday, 15 October, he thanked his parents for bringing him into the world.

Fresh said what blew his mind the most was that they loved him regardless of his naughtiness.

“Thank you, Mama Le Papa, for allowing me to scream into your lives at 2am on this day!! The sacrifices you made to make sure we were never short of anything have never gone unnoticed. It is, however, you never ever giving up on this troublesome, naughty kid, that blew my mind the most,” he wrote.

He then told stories about the things he has done.

“When I was five years old I decided that Papa’s record collection was now going to be my frisbee. Had I not been stopped after breaking probably about 15 of the records, I’m certain that entire collection would’ve been decimated.

“When I was six I burnt out the inside of our garage, almost taking the house with it, because I decided to play with petrol from the lawnmower... and some matches,” he wrote.

Fresh said he’s almost burnt down a caravan park.

“When I was 7/8 years old we nearly burnt down an entire caravan park by the Holiday Inn because we decided to make a fire in order to barbecue the birds we had been hunting. That fire took out that entire bush area. I got a hiding with love, and I fully understood,” he wrote.

“Thanks for never ever giving up on me, and instead guiding me with love… AND well earned hidings.”
