Actress, Millicent Makhado, says the new movie Man In Crisis has brought her close to her family.

A SCAMMER has turned actress Millicent Makhado’s life upside down.

The unknown scammer has been texting the people close to her and asking for money.

In one of the screenshots she shared, the scammer asked for money and said they would bring it back the next day.

After being alerted by her close friends, Millicent then warned people not to fall for the scam.

Apparently, the scammer has been messaging everyone in a group chat the actress started, where people share job posts.

“This person is scamming people, asking them for money using my name,” she said.

But Millicent is not the only media personality who has faced such a problem.

Recently, founder of Crown Gospel Music Awards Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule’s contact number and a Facebook account were used by a stranger, trying to solicit money from her contacts.

She said they posted a WhatsApp status, using her cellphone number and photos.

On her Facebook post, she said: “Please don’t be fooled. This Zanele Mazet below is not me. It’s a fake account, using my pictures and scamming people for money. Please help me report him/her.”

A hacker once also gave DJ Sumbody a big headache.

The producer, known for his hit song Ayepyep, said his cellphone number was hacked.

Real name Oupa Sefoka, DJ Sumbody told Daily Sun: “This is the third time this is happening. I don’t know what these people want from me.

“Two days ago, my phone suddenly didn’t have network. I tried switching it on and off, but that didn’t work.

“The next day, I went to the shop where I bought it and was told someone did a sim swap on my behalf.”

He said that the hacker has been asking for money from his close friends.

“After I went to the shop, one of my friends called and asked how urgently I needed the money. I was shocked because I didn’t ask for money,” he said.
