MTHATHA BUCKS AIMS FOR NFD TITLE!

SOCCER deprived Mthatha Bucks FC fans are convinced that their team has a strong chance of making it into the PSL after they topped their League. 

The team’s new signings also paid off early as new recruit Mazwi Mncube opened the scoreline with the Bucks’ 3-1 win over Stellenbosch FC in Mthatha on Saturday.

Amathol’amnyama were confident throughout the game and the songs of support from their fans who filled up the 6000 seater Mthatha stadium gave them the edge in front of goals.
Few minutes into the second half Andile Njokweni proved to be the hero when he buried Stellenbosch with a brace.

It was a much needed win for Bucks who struggled much in the first season having fired their coach and brought in Velile Dyaloyi who managed to keep them in the NFD.

Bucks thrilled in the scorching heat with a solid team effort launching a number of counter attacks and carried possession much of them game which translated to goals for them.
The nine new signings will prove interesting to watch the rest of the season in the tough do or die fight for top flight football.

Coach Dyaloyi said he knew his boys were going to bag the three points and make bucks supporters proud.

“We had a long pre-season to prepare for this game. Our mission is to take every home game serious and win it, we are happy with the team”. 

Seventy percent of the Mthatha side team are back in the team and eight new signings have been made but two positions are still yet to be filled as bucks management is looking to replace Moses Spandeel who retired at the end of the previous season and Siyabonga Hlubi who signed with a PSL team.

“Every league is a longer run. We have to take things step by step but going back to the relegation zone is not in our game plan”, said Dyaloyi.
