MORE people are enjoying the new trend of cookouts, food festivals and outside events held to introduce new taste sensations.
Ekurhuleni people will get a chance to enjoy their own version of a cookout at the monthly Meat and Eat next Saturday in Daveyton.
The event was started with the aim of giving locals a platform to showcase their culinary skills.
Organiser Tumisang Gololo said each local vendor would show what their interpretations of local dishes were as well as creating new innovative cuisines.
“We have gone all out to invite a majority of local entrepreneurs who will have products like beer from the super premium beer market in South Africa i.e Craft Breweries and Distilleries.
Although the distillery might still be in a fledging state of development, it has had a market growth of 75% in the past years,” said Gololo.
The event is for everybody. Anyone can contribute, whether you are an entrepreneur, aspiring entrepreneur, corporate or government institution. Chefs and local restaurants will share their ideas and knowledge as well.
The main aim and purpose of the event is to promote and encourage a culture of business networking within the Ekurhuleni community and surrounding areas.
The event will benefit businesses and individuals not only economically, but also by giving and receiving information and guidance about different initiatives.
Enjoy food stalls, pop-up restaurants, beer gardens, kiddies play area and lots of entertainment.
